Install DSI on Shopify

DSI installs like any Shopify app. No code changes, no theme edits, no developer needed.

Find DSI — Go to the Shopify App Store and search "DropShip Intelligence", or click the link directly.

Click Install — Shopify asks you to approve read access to Products (so DSI can create listings) and Orders (so Pulse can track profit). Click approve.

You're in — DSI opens inside your Shopify admin. The free plan is active with 3 searches/month (5 in your first month). No credit card needed.

Tip: DSI works on all Shopify plans — Basic, Shopify, Advanced, and Plus. No restrictions.

Pick your destination market

Every calculation DSI runs starts with a destination country. This determines the duty rates, VAT/GST, special levies, shipping costs, and currency conversion — all pre-configured.

The country selector shows 15 markets with their flag and currency. Click one to set it as your active market. You can switch at any time — all existing results recalculate automatically.

Africa: South Africa (ZAR), Nigeria (NGN), Kenya (KES), Egypt (EGP)

Middle East: UAE (AED), Saudi Arabia (SAR)

Latin America: Brazil (BRL), Mexico (MXN), Chile (CLP)

Asia-Pacific: India (INR), Thailand (THB), Philippines (PHP), Malaysia (MYR)

Other: Turkey (TRY), United Kingdom (GBP)

Tip: Kenya includes IDF and Railway Development levies automatically. Brazil includes ICMS and PIS/COFINS. These are country-specific taxes other tools miss entirely.

Run AI Product Research

This is the core workflow. DSI's AI searches across AliExpress, CJ Dropshipping, and Mercado Libre to find products — then calculates the full landed cost for your selected country.

Pick a category — Choose from 30+ product categories (Electronics, Clothing, Beauty, Home, etc.). This helps the AI match the correct HS code for duty calculation.

Type a product name — e.g., "wireless earbuds", "yoga mat", "LED ring light". DSI finds real top-sellers, not generic suggestions.

Read the results — Each product card shows: supplier price, shipping cost, import duty, VAT, total landed cost, your margin at suggested sell price, supplier rating, and order volume. Up to 7 results per search.

Each search uses 1 credit. Free plan gives you 3/month (5 in month 1). Browsing results, adjusting sell price, and switching countries on existing results are free — only new searches count.

Set your price with the Margin Calculator

Every product card has a Margin Calculator. Drag the sell price slider and instantly see your real profit — after supplier cost, duty, VAT, shipping, and marketplace fees.

Drag the slider — Set your sell price. Watch the profit bar and percentage update live. Green means profitable. Red means you're losing money at that price.

"What If?" mode — Compare the same product across different countries side-by-side. A product with 8% margin in South Africa might have 22% margin in UAE. Find the most profitable market instantly.

Full cost breakdown — Expand the breakdown to see each line item: CIF value, duty amount, VAT amount, shipping tiers, and any country-specific levies (e.g., Kenya IDF, Brazil ICMS).

Photo search — find any product from an image

Saw a product on Instagram, TikTok, or a competitor's store? Upload the image and DSI's vision AI identifies it, finds matching suppliers, and calculates landed cost — all from a single photo.

Upload or snap — Click the camera icon in the search bar. Upload from your gallery or take a photo. Works with product photos, screenshots, or even lifestyle images.

AI matches it — Vision AI identifies the product, finds similar items on AliExpress, and returns results with full landed cost — same format as text search.

This counts as 1 search credit, same as a text search. It's the fastest way to go from "I saw this product" to "here's my exact margin."
